What is a CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA creates a mutual agreement between farmers and their local community of supporters/consumers. At Squash Blossom Farm our passion is to grow the best quality produce for our local community.  We decided to use the CSA model because we are committed to creating a strong local food system that can feed the Wood River Valley. We use sustainable, bio-intensive gardening methods to produce the highest quality produce possible.  No synthetic or chemical products are used on Squash Blossom Farm. By becoming a member of a CSA, you commit to a partnership with your farmer where you share the inherent risks of agriculture (frosts, droughts, crop failure, etc), but also reap the rewards (the bounty of a good season).   As your farmers, we commit to working hard to produce a bountiful harvest from Mid-June through October as weather permits.

Traditional CSA
The Traditional CSA model allows you to experience what is fresh and seasonal in Idaho while guaranteeing you a set amount food every week at your pre-selected pick up point. Every week you will receive a bag full of delicious seasonal produce from Squash Blossom Farm that is carefully selected by your farmers.  Each share will include a variety of greens, root crops, and herbs, and other vegetables.  Squash Blossom Farm does not have the space to grow all of your favorite foods- in a few rare cases we will partner with other local, sustainable farmer friends to provide you with items such as potatoes.  You will always be notified when you receive products that are not grown directly at Squash Blossom.

Produce will be picked and sorted fresh on the farm the day of or the day before delivery.  Each share will contain 6-10 items, depending on timing and availability. We will include recipes in each box to help you enjoy the food you receive.

Our CSA Season runs for 18 weeks, mid June - mid October.
